Greg Scarnici is a comedic writer, director, producer, actor, DJ and musician whose videos have been viewed over 10 million times on YouTube and a host of other sites. His work has also been featured on MTV, VH1, Fox News and CNN.
He currently works as an Associate Producer at "Saturday Night Live" as well as in various other capacities in theater, film and nightlife. He is also a contributing writer for The Huffington Post.
Books include his debut collection of humorous essays: "I Hope My Mother Doesn't Read This," "SEX IN DRAG": a parody of Madonna's infamous SEX book, and his latest essay collection about Fire Island, "Dungeons & Drag Queens."
TV writing credits include The Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular on NBC and the 2014 NBA All-Star Pre-Game Concert in New Orleans.
Film credits include writing and directing the award-winning indie, "Glam-Trash,” the short films, “Dead End” and “Children Of The Dune,” as well as other shorts that have played at festivals around the country. Greg also produces music with Joe Thompson, under the name Undercover. Their debut album featured the song, “Your Lovin‘ Touch” which was selected to play at Abercrombie and Fitch stores throughout 2012. 12 INCH FREAK
In 2009, Greg released this album of comedic dance tracks which featured the viral video hit, “Gimme More (Pills)” as well as the songs for eight original music videos.
SEX IN DRAG / CHILDREN OF THE DUNE
In 2010, Greg released “SEX IN DRAG" a parody of Madonna’s notorious SEX book, shot entirely on Fire Island. Check out the BOOKS page for more info.
He also released the satirical short film, “Children of The Dune,” which played at festivals around the country.
UNDERCOVER / MUST BE THE MUSIC
In 2011 and 2012, Greg and his band Undercover released their debut album and accompanying remix EPS while also debuting his stage show, “Must Be The Music" which played at Ars Nova & on at The Arts Project of Cherry Grove on Fire Island.
SEX TAPE / SO C#NT
In 2013, Greg's alter ego BQE released his comedic SEX TAPE EP which was a precursor to the stage show of the same name, and the debut single from his drag alter ego, Levonia Jenkins, “So C#nt” which was called The Song of The Summer on Jezebel.com, Slate.com & PaperMag.com.
OWN IT / BITCH PLEASE
In 2014, Greg released Levonia Jenkins’ second single, “Own It” and debuted his new web show, Bitch Please. He was also in the studio recording the next Undercover album, Night Beats.
NIGHTS BEATS / WERK AND SERVE AND FACE
In 2015, Greg released Levonia Jenkins' third single, "Werk And Serve And Face" as well as Undercover's 2nd album, "Night Beats."
I HOPE MY MOTHER DOESN'T READ THIS
Greg's debut book, "I Hope My Mother Doesn't Read This" was released on September 22nd, 2015. More about the book HERE.
Greg released Levonia Jenkins' social media dance floor anthem, "Like Whore" in May of 2016.
In 2017, Greg released two new songs from BQE - "Sup Lookin' Host?" and "I'm Staying In Tonight", along with Levonia's latest cassingle, "Phenomemom."
TRUSS N BEWEAVE
In January of 2018, Greg released Levonia's uplifting dance floor anthem, "Truss N Beweave".
In February of 2018, Levonia brought her first half-woman show to the Laurie Beechman Theater in NYC, which went on to play in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans and Fire Island.
DUNGEONS & DRAG QUEENS
In March of 2019, Greg will be releasing his second collection of humorous essays, "Dungeons and Drag Queens," about his experience on Fire Island.
